FAILURE NOTICE

I've been sending out mass e-mails through my job for an upcoming fundraiser event. Our e-mail database hasn't been cleaned out in a while, so I am getting quite a few bounced back e-mails. The error message I keep getting is:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mail26c.sbc-webhosting.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

It reminds me of when I've been broken up with in the past - by a significant other, or even when a friendship terminates. They say: I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. I don't like you. Rejected. User unknown.
